It was no doubt the first game Manuel Pellegrini searched for when next season’s fixtures were announced. And he didn’t have far to look.
Just five games into the next Premier League campaign, the new Manchester City manager will have the chance to best the reigning champions. And there will be no bolder message to send than to beat Manchester United early and emphatically, in front of the Etihad fans.

Manuel Pellegrini wants Isco but not Stephan El Shaarawy at Manchester City

MANCHESTER CITY manager Manuel Pellegrini could raid his former club Malaga for youngster Isco but is not interested in bringing AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy to the Etihad Stadium.
Spanish wonderkid Isco recently revealed he was considering offers from both Manchester City and Real Madrid - and hinted that he could follow his mentor Pellegrini to Manchester this summer.

Manuel Pellegrini has given the clearest indication yet that he will take over from Roberto Mancini by revealing he already has an arrangement with Manchester City.
"I have a verbal agreement with them and hopefully that can become official," the Málaga manager told the radio show Al Primer Toque.

Jesus Navas insists he never had any second thoughts about choosing to join Manchester City - a decision he says he made some time ago.
Sevilla confirmed last night they had accepted an offer from City for the 27-year-old Spain winger, with reports suggesting the deal could be worth up to £24million.
